The Boat

A sailboat can be a ketch, a yawl, a cutter, a schooner, or a sloop depending on how many masts it has, where they are located, and how many sails it can carry.

Chrysalis had a single mast slightly forward of her center.  She could carry two sails.  She was a sloop.
